Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter to star in vampire romantic comedy, Vamps

Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad, Gilmore Girls) will star in Vamps, a romantic comedy with vampires directed by Amy Heckerling and set for release in 2011.

Vamps marks Alicia Silverstone’s reunion with Amy Heckerling, who also directed Clueless (1995). Silverstone and Ritter (pictured) will play two modern day vampires in New York City, living the good life until love enters the picture — and each will have to make a choice that will jeopardize their immortality.

Production on Vamps is set to begin in April 2010, with a 2011 tentative release date.
